I do ask, however, that those who edit this map to create their own version(s) please credit me as the editor and qpPyKT as the original creator. The map is unprotected and I give people permission to learn from it and edit as they wish. ![]() I have been working on this map for five years, from 2014 until 2019 (from LOTR Risk Strongholds 3.0 until this version). I asked him for permission to work on the defunct map, which he graciously gave. Only one player can be victorious! Author Notes: This map was originally created by qpPyKT under the name LOTR Risk StrongHold (1.0 - 2.1). The goal of the map is to take over all of Middle-earth. Renown is used for more powerful units, repair units and heroes. Renown income (they are the sole source of this, aside from the basic renown income each player receives). Access to heroes that you generally cannot buy elsewhere. Depth: LOTR Risk Strongholds: Third Age is similar to Middle Earth Risk, but adds the eponymous strongholds, creep-controlled forts that players can capture. The broken isle of Númenor in-game contains books which explain it in more detail. (If you do want to use it, please give credit, first to the REAL game makers and then to me for the digital work.LOTR Risk Strongholds: Third Age Gameplay and Features: LOTR Risk Strongholds: Third Age is a Risk with a dynamic spawn system that changes based on whether or not you currently own the relevant greater region. So, feel free to check it out, I just ask that you don't jack it since this stuff has come at the price of lots of red-eye and sore mouse hand and a wife who thinks I'm a dork. That means the hopefully I will actually be able to do some coding, and then, before you know, the battles will rage! This includes the database design and game logic. In other news, I have pretty much finished the back-end preporduction work. You'll also a few samples of the RISK cards as well. You can see the actual game map which has taken me 7 months to create a faithful digital reproduction of the gameboard map. Hey there! NASA here and I have a great link for you to check out a lot of images of game components. Posted by DrNASA 8:08 PM 0 comments Friday, November 05, 2004Ĭheck here for all the latest new in the development of LOTR Risk: Online! ![]() Pics of the 'Red Book of the Westmarch'.actually the maroon Mead Five Star notebook I have written out all of the pseudocode in as proof I have done it! Just post a comment and I'll get with you. If you really would like to offer help, I have a couple of things that I can loosen my grip on. If you would like to volunteer to 'm kind of a control freak and don't know how easily I can relinquish control. The graphics are very time consuming work to do, working off of medium-quality scans of the game pieces and cards and making them high-res digital game assets is time consuming, but it will hopefully be worth it. ![]() Once all the graphics and game elements are done, the coding can begin (that's just the way I like to work so stuff it). Since I couldn't I had to make updates through comments instead.īe sure to click the Comment for the first post 'The Battle Begins" to get the link to see some of the graphical progress. As I have just regained access to the admin side of the blog, I can now post. ![]()
